Middle DoF. The blurry post on the right tells you it's really close and then the angle back draws you in
Close DoF. Concentration on that board
Medium-close DoF. The reed reach in the opposite direction of the river flow. It gives it a contrast. The DoF blurs the background to make the opposing texture softer and yet more visible.
Close DoF. The fire is the focus because it's a different color and in focus. It's a small reminder how a small flicker and turn into a wild blaze.
Middle DoF. It showcases the dancing flames but frames it by adding the suggestion of an audience in the distance.
Close DoF. Balance is created with the shadow, but the focus is on the knots and then down to the solid black stripe serving as a sort of spine.
Medium-close DoF. The reflection of the trees is out of focus while the leaves on the water are in focus almost like the trees are a blurring reminder of where they once were.
Close DoF. Flaky paint with sharp shadows to emphasize the peeling, letting go of the wall.
Middle DoF. The shadow and red highlight weigh the bottle down and along with the overlording view it makes the bottle seem heavy. Maybe with abandonment? Or nostalgia?
Wide DoF. The trees and the bridge almost form parallel lines as they recede. The wide focus and upward shot add a grand scale to the image.
